VR game

When you think about virtual reality games, you probably think of popular, entertaining games. The VR-game of the Red Cross has a totally different approach: explain the rules and context of International Humanitarian Law.

The Red Cross educates students at schools and professionals at government organizations about these rules. In order to explain International Humanitarian Law in complex war situations, our venture Hack The Planet, in collaboration with Leiden University, created educational VR experiences for the Red Cross.

When you put on the VR glasses, you become a soldier and your world is changing into a war zone in which International Humanitarian Law applies. You get to see different situations in which you have to make decisions in a short time. How would you react if you saw a wounded enemy soldier? What do you do when a child points a gun at you?
